Gregg Brilliant, Senior Advisor, has served filmmakers, movie studios, executives and independent production companies with impactful campaigns for films shooting on location across Asia, Europe, Australia, Latin America, the United States and Canada. Among his projects: Jon Favreau’s adaptation of The Jungle Book for Disney; Ang Lee’s Life of Pi; James Cameron’s Avatar; Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Rise of the Planet of the Apes for 20th Century Fox, Kong: Skull Island for New Line and Warner Bros.; Destin Daniel Cretton’s adaptation of The Glass Castle for Lionsgate, Better Call Saul for AMC and Sony Television, Rampage starring Dwayne Johnson and Naomie Harris for New Line and Warner Bros.; and currently, slated for a 2019 release, Jon Favreau's live action adaptation of The Lion King for Disney.
In addition to his unit work, Gregg also consults for film producers, studios and production companies on initiatives for studio and indie projects in their release campaigns, as well as pre-release and sales phases. He has ghostwritten scores of studio production notes and contributed to numerous film campaigns with written and digital marketing materials and EPK field production.
He served Twentieth Century Fox as vice president, corporate communications and publicity from 2006 through 2010 after beginning his career in the late 1980s upon moving to Los Angeles and landing an internship with Paramount while studying journalism at California State University Dominguez Hills. Gregg would become an integral part of the publicity team at Paramount over the next two decades, elevated through the ranks to serve the studio as publicity vice president, overseeing hundreds of successful launches and campaigns ranging from James Cameron’s Titanic to Paramount’s MTV, Nickelodeon and SNL branded movies.
